History of M&K Engineering

M&K Engineering Beginning

M&K engineering was founded on November 9, 1991 by Stan Meyer and Jack Kessler. Stan and Jack believed the chemical industry was lacking a production based engineering company which understood the integration of process work with all other disciplines. With this concept in mind, M&K was born on that day in the basement of Stan’s house with himself, Jack and one part time piping designer. Over the next decade, M&K expanded to over 50 employees in three offices, two being located in the Midwest and one in the South. The last recession caused M&K to consolidate and reorganize to remain competitive within the industry. Currently, M&K has one office located in Granite City, Illinois. Granite City was chosen due to its central location providing easy access to the chemical industry throughout the United States.
